Get Your Perfect Domain Here
Domain names are an important asset of your blogs. In fact, domain names are important for any online business. Treat them as your online real estate.
All businesses have a business name and an address. It is the same with blogging or publishing online. You want to decide on a great domain name.
Like any brick and mortar business, a domain name is similar to a business name, an individual name or a brand name. A domain name is more than a name.
It is also a web address on the internet, sometimes referred to as the URL, the Uniform Resource Locator. It is what visitors type into the address bar of the browser to access your blogs or websites.
Examples of domain names are Apple.com, CBC.ca, Google.com, and Wikipedia.org.
By the way, domain names have a hierachical naming system. The system is called DNS, Domain Name System. Let me explain, using the following example:
yourbiz.com < www or without www is optional
The top-level domain (TLD) is the “.com” portion, and the “yourbiz” is the second-level domain.
The levels move from right to left. The right-most segment, in this case the .com, is the TLD.
The segments to the left of second-level domains are the subdomains. On the above example, you may have subdomains like:
member.yourbiz.com, support.yourbiz.com
for your member or support department.
You don’t need to register your subdomain names with any authority.
The top-level domain (TLD) and second-level domain (SLD) names are NOT case-insensitive.
Anything before the TLD and SLD domain names ARE case sensitive.
There are more than 1000 TLD name extensions other than the common .com, .net, .org, .info, .ccTLD (country code TLD), and so on. As of December 2021, the IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) contains over 1600 top-level domains. You can view the list at this site.

You purchase domain names from organizations called the domain name registrars or from their resellers.
These domain name registrars are supervised by ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.
ICANN was formed in 1998 as a private and non-profit corporation responsible for the Internet Protocol (IP) address allocation and the Domain Name System (DNS) management.
There are numerous name options with thousands of accredited registrars. We recommend using the Namecheap registrar whom we have been using for the past 10+ years. Click on the image below to get your perfect domain name:
