ABOUT THIS BLOG

This blog, our blog4wah.com website, is about setting up a home-based blogging business. You can start blogging as a hobby. It is not against any law to blog as a hobby, not that we know of.

Whether you wish to do blogging as a hobby or as a business, we help you to generate income either way.

We first show you how to blog, understand the blogging business and eventually, get a WAHBIZ (Work At Home BIZ) in blogging if you wish to take this further.

Our domain name is blog4wah.com. It means:

Blog4wah = blogging for a work at home business (a business or hobby, your decision)

Our team had worked and travelled abroad in more than 30 countries around the world. While we experienced different cultures, we found the best place to work is at home.

Why wah, or work at home? WHY NOT? We couldn’t think of a better alternative office location than working at home.

Take it from us, you, you can make a good living doing what you like by working from home.

Continuing our discussion above, if you are a newbie or a seasoned blogger, we recommend these simple 3 steps to build a blogging business at home:
1.Know your purpose of blogging.
2.Decide on a platform.
3.Market your blogs.

Here are the 1-2-3 steps:

1.Know your purpose of blogging.
This is important regardless what you wish to achieve in life. You have to know what your goals are before taking on any project.

Knowing your goal will help you to decide on the content you wish to publish.

Once you decide on your goal, we help you to reach your goal through blogging.

2.Decide on a platform.
There are hundreds of different blogging platforms. We will explore several of them on this website. Our focus is on the WordPress platform.

WordPress is the most popular CMS. CMS stands for content management system. Note this “C” stands for CONTENT, not customers.

WordPress powers over 40% of the internet websites in 2021. You can be assured, that percentage will reach 50% and higher soon. You don’t need to learn coding or programming to use WordPress.

3.Market your blogs.
In 1989 the movie, Field of Dreams, had a quote: “If you build it, he will come“. Not so in the blogging industry, the only persons who will visit your blogs or websites are you, your family, your friends or maybe your pets.

No one will come to your blogs except the search engines will crawl your blogs or websites. You have to actively promote your blogs to your target audience.

Expect to spend more than half of your blogging activities and time on promoting and marketing your blogs.
